Half of Oregon's criminal illegals held for sex crimes, 83% are Mexican
In a report that has national implications, almost half of the illegal immigrants held in Oregon jails in May faced serious sex crimes including rape, abuse and sodomy. -- Of 969 illegals held in jail for that one month, 461 have been charged with the three sex crimes. -- A majority are being held in Portland and Salem area jails, according to the report from immigration expert David Olen Cross, whose report is based on statistics from Oregon's Department Corrections and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainers. -- Most, over 83 percent, were from Mexico, according to Cross.......

Drop in Summer Work for Teenagers Linked to Increased Immigration
The rise of low-skill immigration in recent decades, combined with other factors, has reduced the ability of teenagers to get summer jobs, according to the Atlantic. -- "In the summer of 1978, 60 percent of teens were working or looking for work," the Atlantic‘s Derek Thompson recently wrote. "Last summer, just 35 percent were." -- One reason why teens work less today is that immigrants fill more jobs, such as restaurant servers and retail salespeople, while experienced American workers also compete for these positions.......

Pa. ag economy will thrive without illegal immigration
In the June 10 edition of the Wall Street Journal, an opinion piece titled “Fiestas and Apple Orchards: Small-Town Life Before Trump” offers a romanticized view of illegal immigration in Pennsylvania. -- The author, Dickinson College professor Crispin Sartwell, paints an idyllic image of the “vibrant, intersectional culture” of York Springs, Pa., where the streets are purportedly lined with “Mexican food trucks and children playing fútbol” and a bona-fide real estate revival is well underway thanks to “townspeople [fixing] up old houses.” -- That is, until Donald Trump was elected president.......

ICE IG finds 'nothing' wrong at detention centers, rejects complaints from illegals
The inspector general for the Department of Homeland Security, acting on charges that illegals faced abuses inside detention centers, found "nothing" wrong in three key facilities built to hold over 3,300 undocumented immigrants. -- In a new report, the IG said it conducted three surprise inspections of Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities. "Nothing came to our attention that warranted serious concerns about the health, safety, or welfare of the detained families. Specifically, we did not observe any conditions or actions that represented an immediate, unaddressed risk or an egregious violation of ICE's Family Residential Standards." -- Several immigration rights groups, members of Congress and media have complained that illegals faced all sorts of abuses inside detention centers.......

Borjas: Media Changing its Narrative on Immigration
Harvard economics professor George Borjas wrote in a recent blog that he's seeing a shift in the narrative used by immigration expansionists to support an increase in legal immigration levels, focusing less on the benefits of mass immigration on the economy and more on the negative impacts of reducing immigration. Borjas, who has authored a number of key studies on the impact of mass immigration on the wages of native-born workers for the Center for Immigration Studies, has been described by the Wall Street Journal as "America's leading immigration economist". -- Borjas wrote that the immigration expansionists who claimed that immigrants only do jobs "Americans won't do" now say that reduced immigration forces employers to raise wages for American workers, which will cause prices to rise and inflation. For years, these economists have argued that mass immigration does not adversely affect the wages of American workers, but their changing narrative contradicts that argument. ......

Mexican Cartel Incinerating Victims' Corpses near Texas Border
Reynosa, Tamps. -- Cartel members fighting for control of this border city are again taking up the practice of dismembering victims and using 55- gallon drums filled with fuel to incinerate the remains. -- It is unclear how many have been incinerated, however, the fighting in the streets currently exceeds 65 documented casualties. Breitbart Texas has reported on the raging violence between convoys of SUVs and gunmen roaming the streets. Undocumented killings are believed to be cartel kidnappings occurring on a daily basis. The sequestered victims are typically cartel personnel or their kin and are rarely found alive or dead thereafter.......

Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck and State Sen. Beneath the surface, America's 'crackpot' fringes threaten the mainstream: Doug McIntyre

Texas Joins 10-state Coalition Supporting Trump's Sanctuary City Order
The Texas Attorney General filed an amicus brief in support of a 10-state coalition fighting a court ban on President Donald Trump's executive order on sanctuary cities. -- Shortly after taking the oath of office, President Trump signed an executive order on border security and enforcement of immigration law. The order included a prohibition on federal grant money for state and local law enforcement agencies that refuse to cooperate with immigration officials. In April, a federal court in California blocked the order, Breitbart News reported. -- “The Counties' claims implicate a constitutional interest, the rights of states and local governments to determine their own local policies and enforcement priorities pursuant to the Tenth Amendment,” Judge William Orrick H. Soros-Linked Groups Behind California Ban on Detaining Illegal Aliens
A plan to ban local and county jails in California from detaining illegal immigrants with immigration detainers is being pushed by open borders organizations. The groups have ties to globalist billionaire George Soros. -- As left-wing blog Mother Jones reported, the initiative to protect illegal immigrants would be included in the California state budget. The proposal makes it illegal for local or county jails from entering into agreements with federal immigration authorities to protect Americans from illegal immigrant crime. -- Coincidentally, the two organizations pushing the plan behind the scenes have links to Soros and his infamous Open Society Foundation, which serves as a slush-fund to enrich left-wing social justice and open borders groups.......

But they postponed their decision after questions were raised within the motion, including who would benefit from the fund. Texas judge pushes U.S. toward 'sanctuary nation,' warns scholar

California nixes full Medicaid benefits to illegal alien adults

That had led some proponents to believe it might succeed, despite the nation's fraught political climate over immigration and plans in Washington to cut Medicaid spending. -- There was a “realistic hope” that the proposal might be included in the state budget that lawmakers are expected to vote on and send to Gov.
