The Obama Magnet?
Johnson wants to stop the pull factor

Wisconsin Sen. Johnson
Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel -- February 10, 2015
Ron Johnson says U.S. must reduce incentives for illegal entry
Washington --- Fresh off a trip to the Rio Grande last weekend, Senate homeland security chair Ron Johnson said Tuesday efforts to solve the border issue won't fully succeed until the incentives to enter the United States illegally are reduced.
"The take-away is we can continue to detect, we can continue to apprehend, but until we fix the incentives we create for illegal immigration, until we actually have policies that deter people from coming over here (illegally), we're going to continue to have illegal immigration," said the Wisconsin Republican, who spent Saturday and Sunday along the Texas border with Mexico on his first fact-finding trip as chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
Johnson and fellow Republicans say White House executive orders on immigration and deportation are increasing incentives for illegal immigration, and they are trying to block funding for those orders, including President Barack Obama's move to give legal protection to several million immigrants who came to the U.S. illegally.
That has set off a partisan standoff in the Senate over Homeland Security funding.

We can do a better job on the border
Sen. Johnson is right about the incentives Obama has created. Just look at what happened with his DACA.-- But the same Obama that created DACA, set priorities for border security. -- From the Predator Drones to the Integrated Fixed Towers, technology intended to help secure the border has failed to do the job. -- I invite Sen. Johnson to visit American Border Patrol's ranch to see a better way.
