Border Patrol arrests fugitive
on DSS most wanted list
KGUN-TV -- Tucson -- May 9, 2014
How many got past the US Border Patrol last week? Plenty,
Early yesterday morning, Border Patrol agents apprehended Jesus Daniel Sanchez-Bastidas, a Diplomatic Security Service most wanted fugitive.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection tell KGUN that Border Patrol agents apprehended a group of illegal immigrants near Nogales. After record checks were completed, it was discovered that Jesus Daniel Sanchez Bastidas, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, was on the DSS most wanted list for passport fraud.
Sanchez-Bastidas was also wanted for questioning by Sonoma County Sheriff's office regarding a homicide investigation. He has a prior arrest in 2010 for conspiracy to commit a felony and being a gang member carrying a loaded firearm when he was encountered by police on his way to a home invasion. Sanchez-Bastidas was turned over to the U.S. State Department.
Five other convicted felons were arrested in separate incidents this week. Their convictions include first degree burglary, third degree rape and lewd and lascivious acts/continuous sexual abuse of children. One of the subjects was also an MS-13 gang member....
ABP Comment: Five people were caught. How many felons guilty of first degree burglary, rape and sexual abuse of children got past the US Border Patrol last week? Plenty. How many gang members? Plenty. How many are going to hurt innocent Americans? Plenty.
